Being pregnant can be a long nine months, so much so that many mums simply can’t wait for their baby to be born. But when all is said and done and you have your little one in your arms, there are a number of things you will miss about being pregnant, here are ten of them:

Sleeping
When you were pregnant, being able to have a mid-afternoon siesta was a must and nobody stood in your way. Now that baby is with you, sleeping at night time never mind during the day will prove very difficult.

Having a massage
How many of you have guilt-tripped your other half into giving you a massage? Well now that’s going to be a thing of the past. Not only will you both be too tired, you’ll probably struggle to find the time to enjoy it anyway.

Being offered a seat on public transport
Being offered the last seat on the bus by a complete stranger is one of the perks of being pregnant, but this will stop now. Not because people don’t sympathise with new mothers, but you are likely to avoid getting public transport with a buggy as much as possible.

Being healthy
You have a responsibility to be healthy when you are carrying another life around, but it seems all that motivation goes out the window as soon as baby is born. You won’t feel bad for eating that bag of crisps or indulging in a takeaway – sure you have just pushed another human out of you, you deserve a few little treats.

Not caring about your appearance
Most pregnant mums don’t worry about weight gain during pregnancy, in fact, many people see it as a positive sign. But it seems as soon as the little one is born all our body worries are amplified - we worry about not losing weight quick enough, stretch marks and our ever-changed body shape.

Using pregnancy as an excuse
Most of us at one time or another have used being pregnant as an excuse to skip queues, use toilets in restaurants you don't intend on eating in or not to meet friends for lunch. But now that baby is here you can say goodbye to most of these. Although you can always use the ‘I don’t have a babysitter excuse’ for some.
