We already have one golf enthusiast in our house, so when we were asked to take part in the IKEA"Bring the family together" range of activities we were especially delighted to get the Hole in One challenge! Finding the soft toys and children's cups in the little people section of the IKEA Dublin store was easy....choosing which soft toys to use for the fun activity...not so easy! The broom was...

The kids loved their trip to Ikea and my eldest daughter Ashleigh (5 years) had the responsibility of choosing all the different pieces to make up the greenhouse. We waisted no time in making it up when we got home such was the excitement. The girls told me all about planting most of which they had learned at school. We all helped in following the instructions to build the greenhouse which was...

My two Irish twins love to snuggle under our IKEA duvet and listen to a story. The promise of the lovely family-time activity is the only way I can persuade them to get ready for bed! I had never considered the idea of introducing some cute IKEA finger puppets to help bring our story to life - the children loved it. We used them to play roles in the story and to create shadows on the wall. For...

It never occurred to me that our IKEA sofa could be transformed into a pirate ship in a matter of seconds. Take one cream throw for a sail, some coloured paper to create shark fins, some soft toy mice to have on deck and a dish-washing brush for a sword! We even got creative with our used kitchen roll inner which doubled-up as a telescope. One pirate hat and sparkly scarf for one of the shipmates...

My two monkeys love to play make believe and indoor camping is one of their favourite games. They were delighted to see me unpack 4 metres of brightly coloured fabric from the wide range available at IKEA to serve as their tent - it certainly beat the boring old bed sheets I usually offer them! The luxurious throw made a beautiful carpet for their hut and the colourful spotted cushions provided...

My little girl loves 'make and do', however I'm forever running out of ideas. So when IKEA asked me to take part in their party bunting family activity, we jumped at the chance! We had great fun picking the coloured ribbon, napkins and fabric from the huge choice available in the textile and marketplace in IKEA's Dublin store. With a family birthday just around the corner, we...

Many thanks for the opportunity to try out this fantastic IKEA project. My 2 kids, Alice aged 6 and Andrew aged 4 love to get a chance to explore their creative side and art is one of their favourite things to do! When I told them we were going to create our very own art gallery here at home, they were jumping up and down with excitement. We had great fun preparing the special LED framed lights...

My two boys often get irritable as dinner time approaches, they're hungry from a full day at school and playing outside with their friends. There's usually about 20 minutes between when I ask them to come in gor dinner and it actually landing on the table! The idea to play a game if table tennis by simply extending our IKEA table, building a net with some books and using our faithful MALA...

I didn't realise how much daddy liked to build cars until we played Think Outside the Box at home as part of the IKEA family range of ideas. The cardboard boxes that come into our house are usually flattened and out out for recycling...not turned into a magical car! My little girl wanted to make her car every colour of the rainbow so we stuck lots of the coloured paper we bought in IKEA on to...

The IKEA "Giggling Yoga" Family activity was a huge success in our house. So much so, that my two girls couldn't wait to play it again when they're friends came over on a playdate! The cushions were so luxurious that they made a very comfortable yoga seat and the finger puppets created lots of imaginative play, fun and laughter. The trip to IKEA to buy the items was also a great family...
