Boots Soltan for kids

Boots is a store which I discovered when I was pregnant on my first daughter. Not realising how much ‘gear’ I needed but realising I was seriously time starved I headed off with my excel spreadsheet list of all that I required. (You should note that my spreadsheet formed the basis of our ‘packing your hospital bag’ and our soon to go live ‘what you really need to buy on your first child’ lists). I tried a few stores – Mothercare was top of my list but believe it or not the local store didn’t have everything I needed AND when looking for a dainty baby finger nail clipper, they only stocked one that would be appropriate if you were the mum of a newborn elephant. So I quickly gave up there – I detest half shops – they drive me scatty as they give me further work to do. I’m not through my list nor is it fully incomplete – I’m in limbo. Should I (a) go back to the PC and update the list or (b) scratch out what I can with pen....mmmmmhhh.
So I hightailed it over to Boots in Liffey Valley which turned out to be a seriously good store for all things baby where amongst a lot of other things, I found my dainty Boots branded baby finger nail clipper. I now make it a policy of always buying one of these as part of any baby shower gift for expectant mummy friends as I’ve seen the damage the other supposed baby clod hopper nail clippers do.
Their range offered the highest rating for all in the family AND included a sun cream which is suitable for your baby if you do want to venture out into the sun with them.
You are correct in thinking that it’s late in the summer and why would you need sun cream? Well Mr. MummyPages is case in point. We have just stolen a few days away with the kids down in the West of Ireland – we slathered ourselves with sun cream but he swore blind there was no ‘heat in the sun’ and he refused to use any sun protection. As he rarely takes my advice on sun cream so you will have to forgive my being quietly pleased that he had a seriously rosy glow to his face on return to the hotel this evening. I was bursting to give him a I TOLD YOU SO but I didn’t. Does that make me a bad wife?
As mums, we beat ourselves up over not doing the best for our kids. We frequently worry are we doing everything right, can we do better, did we do that wrong? Do yourself a favour and make your sun cream choices something don’t have to regret for the rest of your life.
I urge you to take the time to read up on sun creams and to research what is best for your family but if you are time starved, then make your life easier and get down to your local Boots. A few products worth thinking about:
