Taking place from Wednesday, 29th April to Sunday, 3rd May, the 61st Cork International Choral Festival will ‘bring the city to life with song’.

 

This year’s festival will feature the annual Fleischmann International Trophy competition, Ireland’s Choir of the Year Competition and the National and International non-competitive choirs.

 

The opening gala will take place in Cork City Hall on the Wednesday night where internationally renowned vocal ensembles Madrigal ’75 will perform accompanied by the Cork Baroque Orchestra.

 

Closing the festival will be a host of international choirs presenting choral music representatives of their musical and ethnic backgrounds.
