Create the perfect bubble bath for your baby
Johnson’s Baby 2in1 bubble bath and wash is a fantastic way to ensure your baby enjoys bath time, while also being kind to baby’s skin and eyes. The mild formula gently cleanses baby’s skin without drying, leaving skin feeling baby soft and smelling baby fresh.
This product has been flying off the shelves since its launch so to celebrate their success, the team at Johnson’s Baby have worked with R&D expert Noble Mathew to put together a check-list for mums on how to create the perfect baby bath time.
Create the perfect baby bubble bath:
-
Firstly, squeeze one sharp squirt of Johnson’s Baby 2in1 bubble bath and wash in to the water (that’s all you need) while the bath is running and swirl it around for half a minute. There should be a ratio of 20:80 of bubbles to water.
- Make sure the water is comfortably warm, but not hot, before putting your baby in. Water that’s warmed to about 37 degrees Celcius is just right. Keep checking that the water hasn’t cooled below 33 degrees Celsius. If you don’t have a thermometer, test the temperature with your elbow to ensure the water isn’t too hot.
- If you want extra bubbles, swirl your hands around in the bath…although your little one will be making lots of bubbles with all their splashing!
- Have plenty of baby bath toys to hand – the classic rubber duck is always a hit with babies! Why not have an underwater themed sticky mat and goldfish plug to make things even more fun.
- Play ‘Bubble Salon’ and create funky Mohawks, long beards or fierce for’s with all the bubbles.
- When it’s scrubbing time, place a blob of Johnson’s Baby 2in1 bubble bath and wash on to a soft sponge or flannel and apply directly to baby’s skin. The unique No More Tears formula will gently cleanse baby’s skin. Remember to sing a song while scrubbing – it will calm baby down if they aren’t a fan of being washed.
- Keep the room warm. If a window is open, your little one will get very cold as soon as they get out of the bath. A hooded towel will keep your baby nice and cosy after their baby.
- Remember for newborns and babies up to six months old; fill the bath with about 13cm (5inches) of water. For babies a bit older, and ready to have bubbling fun, water can be waist high.
- Always remember to never leave your baby unattended in the bath.
