Dr. Eleanor Galvin, a Cork native, graduated from Medicine in UCC in 1997 and subsequently worked in the various fields of psychiatry, general medicine, surgery, paediatrics and obstetrics. In 2002 she began work in general practice in South County Dublin. She also held a half time position in The Mater Private in Healthcheck for over eight years, where she developed an interest in preventative medicine and the promotion of wellness. In 2011 she took the plunge and opened her own practice in Rathfarnham, Dublin.
She has four wonderful and (mostly!) well behaved children, Rory 13, twins Mark and Abigail 8 and Lucy 6. Having opened her clinic in the recession, Dr. Eleanor knows a lot of the challenges facing mothers in providing and affording the best for our children. Maternity and children’s healthcare is a cornerstone of her growing practice, which she hugely enjoys.
