A baby’s birth is always special but, as we reported this morning, sometimes the details of a little one’s arrival into the world prove far too coincidental. This has proven to be the case for US parents Greg and Katy Merhoff, who welcomed their first child into the world this week.
The Iowa couple had an extra cause for celebration on Thursday, February 4, as it also marked both of their birthdays. Yes, you have deduced correctly - the family of three all share the exact same date of birth!
While her mother's due date was set for Tuesday, February 2, little baby Aurora Claire held on for another two days to make it an extra special celebration for the family.
Local news service KCCI reported on the joyful coincidence this weekend, confirming that Aurora also shares a birthday with her aunt – mum Katy’s twin. It looks like they’re going to have to get an extra-large cake from now on!
