School days might be considered the best of your life, but it’s easy to forget the stress secondary school students undergo when attempting to make plans for their future.

From meetings with guidance counsellors to confusion over CAO forms, the senior cycle of any secondary school is far from plain sailing.

With many students feeling a little out of their depth when it comes to their career paths, the Professional Women’s Network will be holding an event aimed at 4th, 5th and 6th year girls which will seek to shed light on the vast number of opportunities open to women across Science, Technology, Engineering and Marketing.

Taking place in the National Concert Hall  between 10 and 12.30 on Tuesday October 25th, this event will give your teen daughter an insight into the lived experience of women in the field they hope to break into.

From providing an authentic description of college life to addressing the challenges women in STEM face, the PWN’s panel of passionate and successful women will be on hand to assist, educate and inform your daughter as she embarks on the next stage of her life.

And with free entry and focus on constant interaction, this is the event we wish we had at their age!
