Anyone who is a working parent will no doubt have endured the guilt of having to make home or family sacrifices for their job. While it may leave you feeling incredibly guilty, sometimes it just has to be done, but one person who is prepared for such a challenge is actor Chris Pratt.

Opening up on parenthood in the latest issue of GQ magazine, the star – who is dad to two-year-old Jack – said that he predicts the day will come where he will have to prove himself to his son.

“I have a feeling I’ll be tested and I’ll have to prove to him that he’s more important to me than show business, and I feel I’ll be ready to pass that test…If it means turning down a big paycheque so that I can go camping for the weekend, being difficult with my contract so that I can be let out, and it means the quality of the film goes down because I’m not there to give everything, then so be it,” said the 35-year-old, candidly.

The star, who is married to fellow actress Anna Faris, added: “And if it means retiring early and getting ranch somewhere and just bird hunting, that’s kind of what I secretly want to do anyways, so that’ll be sweet.”

Chris has previously spoken of his dedication to son Jack, who suffered health complications after being born premature. He previously said: “I’ve done all kinds of cool stuff as an actor, but none of them mean anything compare to being somebody’s daddy.”
