A British mum has advised parents against leaving their phones in their babies’ buggies, after her own tot was left with burns on her leg this week.

Rebecca Gleeson took to Facebook to share photos of baby Rose’s leg, which was left with red blotchy burns after coming into contact with a hot phone.

Admitting that she felt like a ‘bad mum’, Rebecca explained how the phone slipped under the tot’s leg when she placed it in the buggy.

“In today’s heat – and I think because she pressed the button which activated the camera (leaving the screen lit) – the phone has burnt her leg. She was sat there for about 30 – 35 minutes, only cried for about five minutes at the end, when my friend picked her up,” she wrote.

Rebecca brought the poor little tot to the doctor, who treated and dressed the burns; but the incident has left the mother feeling ‘absolutely terrible’.

“Wanted to tell so other people don’t do it…Feel free to share – don’t leave phones in babies’ prams,” she warned.

Rebecca’s friends were quick to comfort her, with many admitting that it is, indeed, ‘such an easy thing to do’.

We hope little Rose is doing better.
