Westport Festival of Music & Food have announced that some of Ireland’s greatest celebrity and Michelin Star chefs will take part in a series of culinary demonstrations hosted by Norah Casey, at Westport House in Co Mayo on 28 & 29 June.
 
Westport Festival foodies will be able to watch Ireland’s most talented chefs create some of their favourite recipes and pick up some handy tips, nibble on some delicious samples, and learn the secrets of the top chefs.  
 
Gastronomic gurus include Rachel Allen, Clodagh McKenna and Darina Allen as well as Ross Lewis (Chapter One),Derry Clarke (L’Ecrivain), Noel McMeel (Lough Erne Resort), Neven Maguire (MacNean House), Seamus Commons(Knockranny House, Westport) and Frankie Mallon (An Port Mor, Westport) will prepare delicious mouth-watering dishes in The Chef’s Kitchen.
 
Derry Clarke, owner of Michelin Star restaurant L’Ecrivain said: “The Chef’s Kitchen was one of the highlights of the Westport Festival last year and this year it will be even better. I can’t wait to get back to Westport! It’s one of the best festivals in Ireland.”
 
Music acts confirmed so far for the Westport Festival include David Gray, Bryan Adams, Sinead O’Connor, Kool & The Gang, The Divine Comedy, Sophie Ellis Bextor, The Jim Jones Revue, The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, Kila, The Selecter starring Pauline Black & Gaps Hendrickson,  Bjorn Again, Tony Joe White and The Bootleg Beatles. Additional acts will be announced over the next few months.
 
The Westport Festival welcomes all ages, with kids under 12 allowed in for free when accompanied by an adult. 
 
Day tickets cost €76 and weekend tickets cost from €131.
