Kim Kardashian once said that children should be taught how to save money and balance a chequebook at school, but there is another topic that British singer Lily Allen wants to see incorporated into the curriculum.

The Hard Out Here singer, who is mum to four-year-old Ethel and three-year-old Marnie, has said this week that schoolchildren should be taught about the basics of relationships and marriage.

In an interview with LBC Radio, the 30-year-old said that the school curriculum should include: “An introduction to divorce. I don’t know…things that everybody needs to know about. The dangers of marriage. It’s just life skills, isn’t it?”

Like fellow mother-of-two Kim, Lily added that the basics of finance need to be taught at as early an age as possible.

Admitting that she has always been ‘terrible’ at maths, Lily said: “If my daughter came to me with any questions about any of this [accountancy] stuff, I would not have a clue. It’s more me worrying about my children and them having to face the big, bad world without the necessary tools to do so.”

Do you agree with Lily’s suggestions?
