One baby is hard work, two are tough and three is just in another world of its own. Thankfully, if you are the proud mama to three little tots, there are a few things you can do to make your life a lot easier:

Feedings
This is a tough one, considering the fact that you only have two arms, it can be hard to feed all three at once, unless you enlist the help of some very kind family members or friends. So be prepared. Pump at night and have the bottles ready to go. It is going to be tough there is no denying that, but unless you grow an extra arm, at least one of your babies won’t be feeding at the same time as the others. This will get easier though.

Night time feeding
Getting up in the middle of the night to feed, burp and change nappies is nobody’s idea of a good night. But needs must. So, get the help of your other half - if both of you work together it will make the process so much easier. Have your bottles ready so all you need to do is warm them up, keep nappies and a change of clothes in reach so that you don’t need to turn on the lights or root around in the dark looking for something – anything - to put one of your babies into if their nappy has leaked.

Set a schedule
Feed them, burp them and change them at the same time – well, not literally - this way they will all be on the same schedule and one won’t be falling asleep while another is crying to be feed and the third just wants attention.

Trips out
You can’t stay cooped up in the house all day and while this may seem like the perfect sense, you need to get out. Going for a walk will take time and effort and a simple 30 minute stroll will take about an hour to get ready for, but you need to do it. So, again be prepared. Have your buggy ready – a triple buggy is great but it can be awkward to manoeuvre when you are on you are own, so pop two into a double buggy and another into a sling across your chest.

Bath times on your own
The bathroom can be a small and tricky place to move around in and when near water you need to have your full and undivided attention so, unless you have lots of help, you will need to do it one at a time. While this might not seem practical, and will no doubt take a long time, it’s better than something going wrong. Pop the other two babies into their buggy beside you and clean and dry one before starting with another.

Remember, while it is tough now, it will get easier and you will be rewarded for all your hard work with plenty of kisses and cuddles in the not-so-distant future.
