Police have issued an appeal following the disappearance of a 40-year-old woman and her two-year-old grandson in Dundee this week.

Debbie Duffy, who is from Menzieshill, was last seen with her grandson Callum King on Victoria Street at approximately 4.30pm on Tuesday.

Offering the public an insight into Debbie's original plans, a police spokesman explained: "They were intending to travel to the Tayport area to visit family, but have not been seen since."

In an effort to trace Debbie and Callum, the police have provided the public with a description of the pair and urged anyone with any information which may lead police to their whereabouts to come forward.

Debbie is five foot five inches in height, is said to be of slim build with a pale complexion and is understood to have worn her shoulder length reddish-brown hair in a pony tail.

She was wearing a green parka-style jacket with a fur lined hood with another black jacket beneath, black jeans and black Puma trainers.

Little Callum is described as having blond curly hair and was said to be wearing a dark grey ‘Incredible Hulk’ tracksuit, blue Nike trainers and a bright red jacket with blue stars on it when last seen.

If you have any information on Debbie and Callum's whereabouts, you are advised to contact Police Scotland on 101.
