Homemade tomato pasta sauce
Making a tomato sauce from scratch, could not be easier and won’t contain unnecessary sugars the store bought one’s tend to have.
 

1 tbsp of olive oil

1 brown onion, diced

2 cloves of garlic, minced

400g chopped tomatoes

1 chicken stock cube or pot

1 tsp of dried basil

1tsp of dried oregano

1 tbsp of balsamic vinegar

Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat and add the onion, gently frying the onion until it becomes translucent.

Add in the garlic and then the tomatoes and stock cube or pot mixing well.

Bring to the boil then add the balsamic vinegar and herbs then simmer for 10 minutes.

Season to taste and serve with pasta or freeze for a later date.
