Should I be using hair masks/treatments on a regular basis?

Hair masks are not a necessity. However, if you have colour treated hair, hair that is damaged from styling or simply want to give your hair a pick me up; a monthly hair treatment will do it wonders.

Hair masks and treatments help remove oil and dirt from your hair and give it a shot of moisture, making it shinier and more manageable. They also serve as a deep conditioner that can be used in conjunction with a daily conditioner. We recommend Aussie 3 Minute Miracle deep conditioner for a monthly hair boost.

It is also possible to make hair masks at home using household ingredients. Our favourite is the banana mask. To make this at home, simply follow these steps:
  • Blend one banana, one egg, three tablespoons of honey, three tablespoons of milk, and five tablespoons of olive oil in a bowl.
  • Spread the mixture through your hair and leave it on for 15 to 30 minutes.
  • Wrap your hair in plastic wrap or wear a shower cap for the recommended time — this will help encourage the ingredients to work.
  • Rinse out thoroughly and wash your hair with a gentle shampoo.
