Vegetarians and vegans often struggle when eating out, usually finding themselves confined to salad or a boring pasta option.

Cornucopia, located on Dublin City Centre’s Wicklow Street is the obvious choice if you, your kids or even your whole family are vegetarian or vegan.

They have an exciting and varied menu containing tasty and interesting breakfasts, soups, salads, mains, breads, desserts, cakes and snacks. The options also change daily, so it’s impossible to get bored if you’re a regular customer.

All mains are served with two salads and cost between €12.50 and €13.95. The portions are huge, so you could easily share one between two children – and we’ll be surprised if you manage to finish your own.

You can also get beautiful soups (€4.35, small; €5.50, large; both with bread) or inventive mixed salad plates (starting from €4.95).

If you manage to save room for dessert, prices range from €1.95 to €4.95 and each one is served with cream, yoghurt or soya alternatives.

The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, but still very casual, with diners seating themselves wherever they can find space. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and with all the chatter, no one will notice a loud toddler or fussy baby, so you’re safe from tutting here.

Oh and they cater for coeliacs as well, so it’s a great place for those living gluten-free.

Bon appétit!
