Danny Nickerson will be turning six-years-old soon, and his birthday will undoubtedly be an emotional ride for his family as the little boy has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.
However, Danny is not asking for a miracle for his birthday – all he wants is some post.
A social media campaign was started by his family as according to his aunt Gail, “He just loves getting mail, he’s always running to the mailbox”.
His family explained that when he had to leave kindergarten due to his illness, he was left feeling very lonely, hence the desire for cards and letters from strangers.
Well, it looks like Danny’s dream has come true, as his family posted on his Facebook page Danny’s Warriors:
“Todays total rough count was a little over 8500 cards and 900 packages!!! We filled the u-haul completely up! And then filled 3 cars too!
We are in awe of all of this, we are speechless and don’t have enough words to explain how thankful we are for everyone of you! And all the love that you have shown us and continue to show us!(sic)”
