Depending on where you are planning on going on holiday, it is important you check whether or not you need to get certain vaccinations.

It is important you talk to your GP if you have any concerns, but here is a list of things you need to know about getting them:

What you need to know
You will need to get vaccinations at least six weeks before you plan on travelling to give it plenty of time to take effect.

What to be protected against
Obviously, each country is different and certain places have a special requirement in terms of immunisations you need. Places like Eastern Asia require you to have a yellow fever.

Here is a list of things you need to be vaccinated against:
Typhoid
Rabies
Malaria
Hepatitis A and B
Tuberculosis
Tetanus
Polio

While your little one will have had most of these when they were babies, it is important you double check that everything is up-to-date.
