Win a Monchhichi

Do you remember Monchhichi? Well then you’ll be excited as we are to hear that Monchhichi is back and is available at Toytown at Arnotts this Christmas!

A beautiful new collection of Monchhichi characters are being released this Christmas, introducing Monchhichi to a new generation of fans. First introduced by creator Mr K Sekiguchi back in 1974, Monchhichi has been a household name for three generations.  Much loved across the world as a positive and aspirational companion for children, Monchhichi inspires friendship, sharing and respect and unites a broad audience ranging from children of all ages to adults alike. Today, more than 70 million Monchhichi toys have been sold in over 40 countries.

There is a charming range of 20cm sized dolls from the famous, classic Monchhichi with their logo bibs and then the adorable boy and girl characters dressed in cute little outfits, often themed.  Look out for a sailor boy, a sleeping girl, a mummy with her baby and even a Monchhichi for Christmas sporting his own knitted festive jumper!

Vicki Elmer, Bandai’s Product Manager for Monchhichi comments “I had a Monchhichi when I was a little girl and am now thrilled to be working on such an iconic brand and introducing Monchhichi to a new generation of fans. We enjoy seeing people’s reactions to Monchhichi and hearing their childhood memories and stories.  Now we want today’s children to have as much fun with their Monchhichi friends and to continue to spread the love.  We are also very excited to see the Monchhichi Christmas window in Arnotts Department store this November and hope the people of Dublin will love the collection of dolls, now available in Toy Town on the second floor, as much as we do!”

The Monchhichi keyrings are priced at €12, with the classic 20cm dolls with bibs at €24 and the 20cm outfit dolls at between €27 and €34.
