She has not been able to stop gushing over her little one since she arrived back in June, but now this soap star has given an insight into her gruelling three-day labour with her little one.

Former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan has given her first official interview since welcoming daughter Matilda, introducing her tot to the world along with partner Scott Sinclair.

While the family posed for their first shoot, for OK! magazine, 24-year-old Helen recalled her difficult birthing experience at the end of June.

“Matilda was in the back-to-back position, which made it even more painful. At one pint my back was hurting so much that I screamed out for the doctor to give me an epidural,” said Helen.

Footballer Scott, who was with Helen when she gave birth, added that it was difficult to watch her go through the process.

“I have a new-found respect for Helen after watching her go through a three-day labour,” said the Aston Villa player.

As traumatic as the experience may have been for Helen, it was worth every minute of it to hold Matilda in her arms for the first time.

“I couldn’t keep my eyes off her. It made the pain I was in all worth it – she’s a dream come true,” she added.

What an absolute cutie little Matilda is.
