Attending an Adele concert is quite the experience in itself, but lucky fans at her recent Nashville show got an extra treat this week.

Indeed, those singing along in the crowd for the big finale, Rolling In the Deep, got to play a part in a very romantic surprise – all planned out by the star’s boyfriend, Simon Konecki.

With the couple’s fifth anniversary falling this week, Simon decided to do something truly special: he replaced the finale confetti with handwritten love notes, totally unbeknownst to Adele!

In videos captured by the adoring crowd, a surprised Adele is heard saying into the mic: “Oh, we’ve got pink confetti tonight!”

In photos uploaded to social media after the concert, the ‘confetti’ was revealed to be love notes containing messages like ‘I love you’, ‘Happy Anniversary!’ and ‘You are an angel’.

It didn’t take long for Simon’s grand gesture to go viral across social media, and the world is pretty much in awe of his love for the award-winning songstress.

“Adele’s boyfriend replaced confetti at her concert with love letters…Can’t even get a damn ‘good morning’ text, but it’s good,” tweeted one fan.

Meanwhile, others branded the move ‘relationship goals’. We couldn’t agree more.

The couple are, of course, parents to four-year-old son Angelo.
