Kate Wright has taken to her role as a step-mum like a duck to water.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star is engaged to Rio Ferdinand and has become a step-mother to his three children - 12-year-old Lorenz, 10-year-old Tate and seven-year-old Tia.
Rio and his children lost their mother, Rebecca Ellison, to cancer in 2015.
The 27-year-old took to Instagram to pen an emotional post about how she has embraced her role as a step-mum.
She posted a snap to Instagram Stories that said, ''Being a mother is an attitude, not a biological reaction.''
She then posted another picture of her walking with one of Rio's daughters and captioned it, ''Who knew love like this existed.”
Kate and Rio got engaged during a holiday to Abu Dhabi in November 2018, and Kate is now planning her wedding to the former footballer.
Kate has picked nine women to be part of her bridal shower including Rio’s daughter, Tia.
