We were saddened this weekend to hear that Chris Pratt and Anna Faris have called time on their relationship after eight years of marriage. The couple announced the split yesterday, and it seems disagreements about family life were to blame.
According to TMZ, Anna had hoped to have more children and establish a “family base” in LA, but Chris was unsure about having more kids and wants to focus on his career.
The couple have one son together; Jack, aged five.
At the start of their marriage, Anna was undoubtedly the bigger star. However, Chris has since scooped several big roles, including the acclaimed Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
A source revealed that Chris doesn't want more kids, at least not in the foreseeable future, because he can't juggle a growing family with his career. Settling down in LA was also proving problematic for him.
Apparently, the amount of time Chris spent away from home filming made it difficult for the couple to keep their relationship alive.
Chris released a statement on his Facebook page on Sunday night, saying: "We are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed.
“Our son has two parents who love him very much and, for his sake, we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.”
He went on to say that they still love each other and cherish their time together. Anna released a similar statement on her Twitter.

The couple have not been seen together in public since April, as Chris promoted Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in Europe.
Anna, 40, attended the premiere of her new film The Emoji Movie in July with young Jack, but Chris, 38, was nowhere to be seen.
The couple had a tough time in 2012 when little Jack was born prematurely. Anna had gone into labour nine weeks early, but doctors managed to prevent it progressing at that point. However, while on bed rest just a week later, her labour began again and she gave birth to Jack.
“Chris and I were so scared, but then Jack came out and, even though he was so tiny, he looked so good to us,” she told People.
We hope everything will work out for the best for Chris, Anna and Jack.
