Duchess Kate revealed Princess Charlottes nickname and it is so adorable

On a recent trip to Northern Ireland, Kate let slip the sweetest detail about her daughter Princess Charlotte.

The Duchess was speaking to a blogger named Laura-Ann who has a son the same age as Princess Charlotte.

She asked Laura-Ann’s youngest son: “Hello – what’s your name?”

“Hi George, what a cool name you’ve got, and you look very smart in your bow tie. It’s very nice to meet you", the Duchess said as she fawned over the youngster.

Kate then asked how old Laura-Ann’s other son was and when the mum revealed he was four-years-old, Kate gushed: “Oh, he's the same age as Lottie!"

Lottie is by far one of the sweetest nicknames and fits the charming Charlotte perfectly.

Kate also refers to her darling daughter as ‘poppet’.

The young royal’s full name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. Charlotte is the feminine version of her grandad’s name, Charles.

Diana is a nod to her late-grandmother Princess Diana and Elizabeth is clearly a nod to her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth.

The Cambridge family recently enjoyed the February mid-term break together. It is believed Kate, William and their three children to their countryside home Anmer Hall in Norfolk.

The family reportedly enjoyed a rather relaxing few days in the countryside. Kate even treated Prince George and Princess Charlotte to quite the lavish day out during their break.

The mum and her two eldest children visited a luxury hotel complex in Norfolk where they enjoyed an afternoon of swimming.
