Famous dad-of-four pays tribute to his eldest son on Facebook

There's no denying the bond that exists between this famous dad and his eldest son, so it's no surprise that David Beckham has gotten a little sentimental on the day his son Brooklyn turned 16 years old!

Doting dad David has taken to Facebook today to pay tribute to his first-born on his big day and shared some adorable father/ son snaps in the process.

Captioning the shots: "Happy Birthday to my big boy xx", David reminded us of a time when Brooklyn was only knee-high to a grasshopper as well as sharing a more recent snap of the broody Brooklyn we have all come to know and love!

A photo of a determined toddler striding out in front of his footballer dad, both clad in the classic Manchester United strip, was met with a flurry of well wishes and nostalgic comments by David's legions of fans and followers.

The more recent black and white snap of a teen Brooklyn and his dad chilling out was met with similar greetings and reminded us that no matter how old he gets or how many younger siblings he may have, Brooklyn will always share a special relationship with his proud pop!
