While no stranger to controversy it seems Scottish comedian Frankie Boyle may have gone too far during a recent performance in London.

In what many considered an unnecessarily cruel jibe at comedy actor and TV host, James Corden, the former Mock the Week star made light of depression and suicide by using the death of a popular Hollywood star as a platform.

Referring to the death of much loved actor and comedian Robin Williams, the 42-year-old comedian said: "I can't have been the only person who read that and thought 'Why can't James Corden get depressed?"

36-year-old James, who is father to two children with his wife Julia, is currently taking the States by storm presenting late night talk show, The Late Late Show, so we're sure he'll be able to take Frankie's cruel comments on the chin.

As long as James remain his happy, charming  and well-adjusted self, and keeps getting those American celebs to open up, that's all that matters!
