When you live your life in the public eye, it's perhaps no surprise to find yourself dismissing speculation and quashing rumours which circulate about your private life on a daily basis.

As one of the world's best-known and most highly sought-after actresses, Julia Roberts has contended with her fair share of press intrusion over the past three decades.

Despite settling down after enjoying a string of high-profile romances, public interest in Julia's love life has far from waned in recent years - an issue which she is keen to address.

Having met her husband, Danny Moder, on the set of The Mexican in 2000, the couple's romance was initally plagued with reports of unrest often owing to the fact both parties were in other relationships when they fell for each other while recent speculation surrounds the couple's financial affairs.

Eager to put these rumours to rest during a recent catch-up with Allure magazine, the mum-of-three paid tribute to the father of children, Hazel, Phinnaeus and Henry, and credited him with much of the good fortune she has enjoyed.

In a candid interview set to hit the newsstands in October, the Pretty Woman star rubbished rumours that theirs was a relationship headed for the divorce courts, saying: "I don't know if I would have succeeded in some of the efforts that I made  if he hadn’t been in such close physical proximity to me."

Leaving readers in no doubt that their 13-year-marriage is based on a foundation of mutual trust and respect, the 47-year-old actress continued: "There’s something about having the safest place in the world for you in the same room."

Julia, who recently lost her beloved mum Betty Lou, worked alongside her husband on the set of their new film Secrets in their Eyes.
