It has been an incredibly difficult couple of weeks for her and her family, and Khloe Kardashian has opened up today about her dramatic ordeal following estranged husband Lamar Odom’s medical emergency.
In an interview with People magazine, the reality star revealed that she simply “had to” rush to his bedside following his near-fatal overdose in Nevada.
“I had to get to him and make sure he was okay. I hate that he was in that situation. I wouldn’t want anybody in that situation, especially someone I love and care about,” said the 31-year-old.
Khloe, who split from father-of-two Lamar back in 2013, added that despite calling off divorce proceedings last week, there has been absolutely no discussion about getting back together.
“There are too many other important things, too many medical things. It’s not even in our brains thinking about us a couple or having a relationship right now. I loved him always, and I will always love him. I don’t believe love is fickle. I believe when you love someone, you are allowed to love from afar. You don’t have to be with that person in order to love him,” she added.
Khloe’s comments come after sources revealed that Lamar is now battling pneumonia and undergoing daily dialysis.
