Going out for a meal with the kids can be great fun, but it can turn out to be hard work all round if you go to a restaurant that isn't very family friendly.
Here are some great and welcoming family restaurants in the capital to choose from.
1. Mexico to Rome restaurant, Temple Bar
Mexico to Rome is located in the heart of Temple Bar, across from the legendary Temple Bar Pub. The restaurant has a fun and exciting menu with a twist on traditional Mexican dishes, as well as a taste of European and Asian cuisine to choose from.
2. Donnybrook Fair Cafe, Dublin 4
This is a great, family friendly spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Located just outside the bustling city centre, the slower pace of life in Donnybrook may be a welcome change after a busy day of shopping and sight-seeing.
3. Foodlife, St Stephen’s Green

This is a great spot for a coffee and cake stop, and there is a fantastic playground on the grounds to keep the kids entertained while you recharge the batteries.

There is a good menu choices for kids, and the waiting staff are always friendly and very accomodating for families of all sizes. This is a great place to hold a children's party.
10. Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Swords
This is a family friendly restaurant with American cuisine. Children are very welcome, with high chairs and a kiddies menu, good atmosphere and service.
