Rhonwen Hayes started doing paintings as birthday gifts for the children of friends some time ago. They proved to be popular and she was asked to do a number of commissions as a result.It is only now, after being made redundant, that she has had the time to really indulge and produce a range of mixed media paintings that are, what she believes to be unusual heirlooms, fast to do, and affordable (€35). She has a Degree and a h-Dip in Fine Art Painting.
All paintings are on canvas based upon the date of birth of an individual. The paintings include general items of natural heritage that may be in season in Ireland at that time. The paintings can be either a totally unique creation centered around the individuals background and interests (as seen on www.artdob.ie - a more expensive option) or it can be the more generic form based on the month of birth.
Most paintings are 10"x10" or 12"x12" and either done on a deep edge canvas or canvas board that can be framed.
