Catherine Fulvio’s Ballyknocken Cookery School will host a child focused cookery class on Sunday 1st September to support the "Light Ireland Up" Gold Appeal.

The ‘Head Chef, Junior Chef’ class is an interactive experience for parents and children and the Co Wicklow school will donate all proceeds to St John’s Oncology Ward at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin.

Children (and parents) will learn new kitchen skills while having fun with the ‘Shades of Gold’ recipe theme that includes a tempting tower of caramel-covered profiteroles.

Speaking about the class, Catherine calls it a very small gesture in helping to communicate the sad and poignant statistics of paediatric cancer in this country. Some of the children being cared for by St John’s Ward will also be at the class with their families.

Early booking for this fun and interactive cookery class is advised. Class costs €59 for Adults and €39 for children.
