A new study found that having a television in a child’s room can have a negative impact on their quality of sleep.

Researchers at MassGeneral Hospital for Children and the Harvard School of Public Health monitored over 1,800 kids between the age of six months to eight years.

The study, which is said to be the first study to look at the effects of having a television in the room over a long period of time, found that children who had a  television in their room didn’t sleep as much as those who didn’t.

They also found that those from ethnic minorities were more likely to sleep in a room that had a TV in it and children lose seven minutes of sleep for each hour of television they watch .

This means that an overall of 30 minutes of sleep is lost by these children on a daily basis.

Not getting enough sleep can have a negative effect on both physical and mental health of a child, so it’s important that children develop good sleeping habits from a young age.
