Diagnosing periorbital cellulitis

Depending on the level of the infection, your child’s doctor may do blood tests, cultures, or X-rays to diagnose its cause. A physical examination and medical history will be required. You may also be referred to an ophthalmologist.
 
If your child is displaying any or a combination of the symptoms of periorbital cellulitis, then you should contact your G.P.
