Hannah Sanders was driving back from collecting the keys to her new flat with fiancé Lee Palmer, when she lost control of her car and struck an oncoming vehicle. Both were killed in the accident.
Tragically, it was revealed this week that Hannah had discovered she was pregnant earlier that day, and was on her way to tell her mother when the accident occurred.
Her family were only made aware of the information when police went through the 20-year-old’s online activity log and discovered a message that she had posted to a forum.
Her excited message read: “I still won’t be 100 percent convinced ‘til I have like 30 lines lol x”.
Speaking after this week’s inquest, Hannah’s mother Pat spoke of her heartbreak at the loss of her daughter.
“It's tragic that she and Lee never got to tell us their wonderful news but they didn't have the time. They would have been so happy and excited. Being a mum and marrying Lee was all Hannah ever wanted,” she said.
