It can be annoying to look in the mirror and realise that the makeup you put on just a few hours ago has worn off. It’s common to have your eye shadow crease or foundation rub off your face when you're at work or on a date. There are however, lots of little tricks and tips you can do to help keep make up on throughout the day as follows:

Use a foundation primer
Using a good foundation primer will stop your foundation from melting off your skin throughout the day. If it is a hot day or you are on holidays in the heat, it is especially important to wear a foundation primer. Apply the primer to your skin after moisturising your face and let it absorb for two minutes before putting on your foundation.

Reapply powder throughout the day
Powder absorbs the oil from your skin that causes your foundation to disappear. Carefully sweep some powder with a fluffy brush over areas that get oily during the day. Try to remember to always carry powder in your handbag.

Wear an eye shadow primer
To stop your eye makeup from creasing, wearing an eye shadow primer is recommended. Apply the eye shadow primer to your eyelids with your fingers, let it dry and absorb for two minutes and then apply eye shadow. Concealer can also work as an eye shadow primer.

Use gel eyeliner
It is common for eyeliner to wear off after a few hours. The answer to this is gel eyeliner which is a lot less likely to smudge or rub off.
