False lashes are a great addition to your beauty tool bag, especially for special occasions. And you don’t need to be a twenty-year-old student to be able to pull off the look; by sticking to subtle styles or even single lashes, your eyes will stand out without looking too overdone.
Step one: Cut them to size
False lashes don’t come in a one-size-fits-all package, you will need to cut them to size. Place them up against your eyelid to see how they fit and trim away any excess lashes.
Step two: Apply Glue
Hold the lashes gently between your fingers on one hand and apply a thin line of glue along the edge. Put a little extra at the ends to ensure it doesn’t flick out.
Step three: Wait a few seconds
Don’t immediately put the false lashes on your lids - wait a few seconds to allow it get a little sticky. This will make it so much easier to secure.
Step four: Line them up
Press them in firmly just where your natural lashes grow.
Step five: Fill them in
Dust a little black eyeshadow where the falsies and natural lashes meet to make them look natural.
