With little free time on our hands, getting to the hair salon for a quick blowdry is a rare treat, which is why so many mums just do their hair at home.

However, just because you are doing a DIY job doesn’t mean you can’t look like you just stepped out of the hairdressers.

Don’t towel dry

Avoid the frizz by not rubbing you hair dry with the towel.

Use a comb

Before you put the hair dryer anywhere near your tresses make sue you detangle any knots with a comb.

Use a heat protection spray

Spray your hair with heat protection to avoid damaging it and making it looking dried out.

Use a round brush

Create tension in your hair by using a round brush and pulling tightly as you dry it with the hairdryer.

Point the hairdryer down

For smooth shiny hair point the nozzle down as you are drying it.
