We've all been there - your little one is home sick for a few days, and despite feeling under the weather, they're 'booooored'.
Now, obviously, they can't go outside and play, so cabin fever may start to creep in, especially when they start feeling a little better.
Thankfully, there are loads of fun ways you can keep those kiddos entertained, that won't involve vast amounts of energy.
1. Movie time.
You just cannot go wrong with a good film. Try choosing a few of your child's favourite flicks, and creating a little make-shift cinema in your living room. Bring in blankets and pillows, and sit back and enjoy all that the big screen has to offer.
2. Bake off.
If you little one has a bit more energy, why not get baking? Trust us, there is nothing sweeter than creating some baked treats with your little patient. Keep things simple, of course, with some chocolate chip cookies, or easy buns.
3. Colouring.
Soothing for children and adults alike (we promise!) Gather all your colouring books, pencils, markers and get creative. If you fancy, why not stick on some of your little one's favourite music while you get artistic? We're thinking the Moana soundtrack? Perfection.
4. Play hospital.
This one seems fitting, given the situation. Set up a little hospital or doctor's office for your child's sick dolls and stuffed animals. Help to inspect their ailments, and prescribe them something to make them better. We're thinking loads of cuddles, and some delicious, healthy snacks.
5. Story time.
If your little one is really under the weather, they won’t have much energy for anything other than listening. Thank goodness for wonderful books with wonderful stories, right? Let your child choose their favourite book, and read it to them in bed, all cosy!
