As the temperature rises, many of us will be heading towards the beach to cool down. But after covering up all winter, some of us mums might be feeling a little less than prepared to flash the flesh.

 

However, with the help of these five tips, you’ll not only look gorgeous, but you’ll feel fab too!

 

1. Find a swimsuit that flatters

Don’t go for what’s on trend otherwise you might end up feeling more self-conscious than normal. Instead, choose a suit that makes you feel comfortable and fits well. An all-in-one, tankini or bandeau suit different shapes and sizes so try before you buy.

 

2. Tan up before you head to the beach

Everything looks better with a little tan, and the one that comes in the bottle is pretty fab at hiding a multitude of sins.  Don’t go overboard though, you are aiming for a healthy, sun-kissed look nothing more.

 

 

3. Avoid high fat, salty foods

Make sure you avoid high fat, salty food right before or while on the beach as they will make you bloat. And the last thing anyone wants went strutting their stuff in a bikini is bloating.

 

4. Shave down below

If you plan on wearing something skimping do remember to shave down below - an untended garden on show is not a good look!

 

5. Stand up straight

One of the easiest ways to look your best is to stand up straight. Not only is it better for your back but it can make you feel happier, stronger and more confident – essentials when on the beach.
