A couple who lost their toddler and unborn child in a tragic car accident two years ago have welcomed twins into the world.

Gentry and Hadley Eddings shared their wonderful news with local publication WBTV, announcing the arrival of sons Isaiah Dobbs and Amos Reed.

The newborns’ middle names were chosen to honour their late older brothers, who passed away after a truck struck the car the Eddings family was travelling in, in May 2015.

The family were on the way to a wedding, when their car was struck. Two-year-old Dobbs died at the scene.

Hadley was eight months pregnant with Reed at the time. The baby boy was delivered via emergency C-section after the crash but, tragically, he died two days later.

Hadley and Gentry were faced with the devastating task of piecing their lives back together following their most horrific loss. There was a fresh spark of hope for the future, however, when they announced their twin pregnancy, earlier this year.

Babies Isaiah and Amos entered the world on Monday, weighing 6.9lbs and 6.4lbs, respectively.

Over on a Facebook page dedicated to the Eddings Family, a friend shared the most beautiful photo of proud new dad Gentry holding his precious newborn sons.

“Congratulations! I saw the link to this photo on another public page, and I just wanted to help people see it quicker, as this is a true miracle!” wrote Jill Chasmer Kostro.

While the Eddings have claimed that their devout faith has helped them through the difficult times, their community has also rallied around them.

As well as the ‘Prayers for the Eddings Family’ Facebook page, which is full of messages of love and support for the couple; generous members of the public have raised over $203,000 for them, on a GoFundMe page (link here).

We’re sending lots of love to the Eddings Family.
