A woman has died after she was hit by a train in Raheny this afternoon.
It is understood that the incident occurred shortly after 2.30 pm at the Raheny DART station.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the incident.
Iarnród Éireann has warned commuters that there will be major disruptions to services.

Irish Rail stated:
Customers are advised that the disruptions are on-going and the line between Howth Junction and Clontarf will be closed until further notice.
DART services are operating between Greystones and Clontarf Rd (+15mins), Dublin Bus are accepting rail tickets
Northern Commuters operating between Howth Junction and Drogheda. We advise customers to get a Dublin Bus (29a) service to Howth Junction or Malahide and connect in with our Northern Commuter services.
Bus transfers between Connolly & Drogheda are no longer available, customers are advised to travel with an alternative bus operator to Drogheda.
Services are operating between Grand Canal Dock/Newbridge.
Maynooth services are operating as normal.
Bus Éireann do not have the capacity to accept rail tickets, customers wishing to travel with them need to purchase a ticket and apply for a refund of their rail ticket, please email refund@irishrail.ie
Expect knock-on delays to services.
