Awakening Curiosity Exhibition & Rooftop Art Garden
In celebration of Dublin City of Science 2012
23 June – 6 August 2012
The Ark, 11a Eustace Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2

Get down to The Ark this summer for Awakening Curiosity, an interactive art exhibition for children and families, with a playful twist of science. Explore how the natural world inspired the artworks on display, and discover everything from floating nests built with materials scavenged from the city, to a suspended shoal of recycled metal fish and a laser animation of a snail trail. You may even meet some mischievous creatures! And most importantly of all, don’t be afraid to ask “Why?, why?, why?. It’s The Ark’s favourite word this summer. After the exhibition, bring your experience and ideas to life in the indoor Rooftop Art Garden. Work with an artist to draw, sculpt and create using recycled materials and natural objects like stones, wood and shells. You can stay for as little or as long as you like.
