With shows for ages 0 to 100, the 18th Baboró International Arts Festival for Children offers an imaginative and breathtaking programme, presented in an innovative way. Flying cows, spiraling elves, a boy made of cheese, a singing monkey, spicy feet, and the most spectacular inflatable space imaginable are just some of the creative and cultural treats in store.

Celebrating its 18th birthday from October 11 - 19, this year’s Baboró Festival in Galway will captivate the hearts and minds of young and old with nine days of wonder and fun. The programme seeks to create profound arts experiences for everyone in the vibrant atmosphere of Galway city and county.

This year’s Festival features a strong Irish Showcase alongside work from across the globe; England, Scotland, Denmark, The Netherlands, Italy, the USA and Australia. Alongside festival shows are exhibitions and workshops, all designed to encourage children to express their individual creativity.

Every 18th Birthday deserves a surprise and Baboró has an extra special one for all ages to enjoy. For the entire nine days of the Festival, the Spanish Arch in Galway will be re-imagined with a spectacular inflatable structure. Amococo, from English company Architects of Air, invites visitors to enjoy a magical, one-of-a-kind sensory experience of light, colour, sound and design. Amococo is presented by Baboró in partnership with Galway City Council and is sponsored by Medtronic.
