Breaking: 10-year-old boy dies in drowning accident in Louth

A 10-year-old boy has tragically died in a drowning accident in Louth.

It is understood that the incident occurred at a house in Carlingford this morning.

Gardaí were called to the scene and the boy was rushed to hospital.

Despite their best efforts, the medical team at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda were unable to save his life. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
