A north Dublin school has been closed down following a ‘gun-related threat’.
It is understood threats were made on social media by a teenage boy on Monday evening.
Gardaí have arrested a 16-year-old boy following the threats. They believe students and staff are in no immediate danger.
"Following the reports [of threats], an investigation was commenced and a 16-year-old youth has since been arrested. He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Dublin Garda Station,” they stated.
Parents will be informed about whether or not the school will re-open later today.
