Calls for soft porn window display to be taken down at Dundrum Town Centre

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner which means every florist is full of red roses, the supermarkets are full of tasty chocolates and clothing stores are full of the fanciest lingerie.

It may be the season of love, but one group of parents in Dublin were disgusted by a Valentine’s Day display in Dundrum Town Centre which has been described as ‘soft porn.’

Dad Kenneth Durr was shocked by the window display when he was leaving the shopping centre’s cinema with his two children.

He posted a photo of the window display on Twitter. The dad expressed his outrage: “I have been to House of Fraser in Dundrum and told them I do not wish my children, as happened on Sunday evening, to be abused by immoral soft core porn in the Dundrum Centre.”

Despite parents concerns, the store won’t be taking down the display: “They said they have had a lot of complaints but are not budging. I've contacted media etc, etc,” David added.

The ad is promoting lingerie brand Agent Provocateur at Dundrum’s House of Fraser store.

Kenneth expressed his anger in an interview with Independent.ie: “They’re causing people embarrassment and distracting people going by. Children need to be protected from this kind of thing, it’s not something children should be looking at.”

What do you think? Should the store take down the window display or is it acceptable?
