It is very rare but babies can be born with glaucoma.
Congenital glaucoma is usually inherited and is generally diagnosed at birth. You should consult with your G.P. or ophthalmologist who will recommend either medical or surgical treatment.
The symptoms include:
- large eyes
- sensitivity to light
- cloudy eyes
- watery eyes
- poor vision and jerky eyes (nystagmus)
- squint (strabismus)
