Was delighted to take part in this trial – I’ve know Cif for years but haven’t really purchased it. I have tended to use bleach type sprays around the house. As a child, my mum used to use Cif and still does as she says it cleans better than anything else! I thought it was a bit old fashioned (sorry mummypages and cif) too.
I used it in a few places for my test. I used it in the bathrooms – first covering the sink with a small amount of it –really just rubbing it over as opposed to ‘working hard’. I then rinsed it off and buffed it with a towel. The results were immediately impressive – it seemed cleaner and shinier too. I then did my toilet – I put a squirt in and rubbed it around thorougly with the toilet brush. I left it there while I clean the bath. The bath quite dirty with the leftover scum from a big 2 child bubble bath. Same technique as I did for the sink and it came up trumps! I return to the toilet flushed it and hey presto even the bowl was shiny – LOL!
Each of the areas has stayed cleaner (shinier) for longer and when i do my mid week buff (does everyone do this, taking the dirty hand towl to the sink?) it returned to shine instantly.
Anyway, delighted to have found Cif – it has meant I don’t have to work as hard at making the bathroom look good and that makes my life alot easier. Will purchase it again – the lemon I think as I liked the scent and would def recommend to a friend.

I've used Cif in the past when it was called Jif but stopped using it because I found it to chalky .
i used Cif in my bathroom and found the texture was very smooth and the smell of lemon was lovely and left a fresh clean scent in my bathroom when I was finished , my sinks and taps are shinning ! It was easy to use the only thing is you have to rinse afterwards but as part of a weekly clean I would be happy to purchase Cif again and will be recommening the same to family and friends .
i am very happy to be part of this trail and would give this bottle of Cif multipurpose cream 8/10

I used this years ago and it always left a chalky residue, but was so suprised as it cleaned my sink to a sparkle and no bleach had to be used. it was fantastic on my hob, next tough job for this product will be the bath after the kids get out. am very suprised with the product and will buy it again.

Really enjoyed being part of this trial - I've never used Cif before although I know the brand from the TV I think but it's generally their spray products that I'm aware of.
I really like this - I used it for my cleaning for two weeks to give it a really good try. I like my house sparkling after cleaning it and the cream, despite my reservations about it being harder work and not as good at cleaning, came up trumps. The bathrooms were very sparkley (is that a word?) and the kitchen sink came up really nicely.
Most didn't involve much rubbing - I had one tricky table which has been in the garden all summer which needed a good rub but that's more down to me leaving it outside when the weather got bad as opposed to the product not working! (mental note - remove table from back garden before the weather turns!). This table is now back to itself and spotless.
I used it in the toilet too and like other users, rubbed it around with the toilet brush and allowed it soak. Into what I'm not quite sure but the toilet bowl came up gorgeous and without using bleach too.
I loved the lemon smell that it left behind afterwards. I have a feeling that this would work out as quite an economical product as I didn't have to use much to clean whereas with sprays, you seem to spray quite a bit. Just an observation.
Anyway, I will use it again and would tell my friends about it too.

I have used Cif for the past few days in different rooms during my cleaning frenzies (I'm pregnant and cannot stop cleaning LOL) and I must say I am impressed. I never used this product before, as I am not from here and where I used to live it did not exist. I washed walls, sinks, stove tops, bath tubs, radiators, cabinets, and even the bins in my freezer using the Cif product and water for rinsing. I am delighted to say that I am happy with the result of all of them. And the fact that it is lemony fresh just makes the experience even more enjoyable. I know most mothers out there can understand that the smell of cleaning products during pregnancy can be over bearing and some times nauseating, but I am happy to say that I really enjoyed the scent it left behind. It wasn't slimy and the thickness was good enough to not run when applied to my tile around my bath tub. I am very satisfied with this product and will definitely buy it when I run out of this bottle. If anyone asks how I got my walls gleaming and white, I will be more than happy to tell them that Cif is what did it.

I currently use Cif spray (which is excellent). I stopped using the cream a few years ago as I found it left a residue on my counter tops. This new cif I'm delighted to say doesn't. I found it very good for cleaning sinks and the cooker top but for the counters I still prefer a spray hut that's just my personal preference. I would recommend it and I will continue to use it as I was very happy with the shine on my draining board. Thanks mummypages for giving me the chance to review

I have used both Jif and Cif in the past - with Cif it was usually spray bottles that I found were not as good as the cream. This Cif cream had a lovely lemon scent and was very easy to use but I did find the cream spilled a bit around the lid when I poured it out. I used the Cif in the bathroom sink and bath - it did a great job on the bath which was in need of tender care after the kids. The sink wasn't in as bad shape but it came up lovely and shiny with little effort. In the case of the bath, it also returned to its original shine. I definitely noticed a difference with the bath after using the Cif cream. I will continue using Cif and would recommend it.

So like many of the others have tried cif years ago when it was still jif.
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Last time I used it you would of needed a power hose to get the chalk residue. This time just a gentle rinse. Even the smell has improved greatly
As for actually cleaning it tried it on just about everything I could think of from the child's high chair to the stainless steel , ceramic hob, bath tub even my partners runners. (Non fabric parts).
I am totally delighted with this product . And would and have recommend to friends. I certainly plan to buy some more on my next trip to the shop . The only negative if you could say was i would recommend that you use gloves when using this as I found it would suffer with mild burning feeling on my hand if I used the cleaner without gloves.
Cif ia certainly not just Jif renamed . Its far easier and even nicer to use

I have used Cif for years, back to when it was called Jif. I would use Cif cream for cleaning the kitchen and bathroom sinks, shower and the bath, I would also use other Cif product, like Cif window which is great for cleaning mirrors. I found it easy to use and it did remove all the dirt. All it needed was a quick rinse and I had a sparkling sink, shower and bath. I was happy that the smell of the cream was not over powering with just a hint of Lemon Citrus.

I will continue to use Cif as I find it does remove dirt and grime but to be honest I didn't really notice anything different from the Cif cream I was previously using. I would still be very happy to buy and use this product!

I'm a 70's child and back then Cif (or Jif as it was then called) was one of the few household cleaners on the market. Every home had a bottle of Jif. I think it was rather overtaken by the multitude of cleaners that then came on the scene. I was pleasently surprised to see my bottle of Cif arrive for testing - it was a bit like saying hello to an old friend. Like previous testers have mentioned - I remember the old Jif for it's great cleaning abilities for also for leaving a chalky residue behind. The new Cif still has the great cleaning power but none of the residue. I was deligted with the results and liked the fact that its multipurpose. I think it will become a regular feature in my household cleaning regime.

Thanks for letting us take part in this trial. For some reason I stopped using CIF cream, I guess the sprays just seemed so much handy. But I have to say, there really is nothing like using a cream to get a fantastic proper clean and a great smell throughout the house. I always do a once a week big clean at the weekend (first thing on a Saturday - the kids love me that day !!! ha ha). I used CIF on the bath, shower, batrhoom and kitchen. It's ridiculously easy to use, great smell and so effective - stains, marks, dirt everything, it's utterly kid dirt proof. I love it. Will definitely be buying it again and have already recommended it to friends (with equally grubby kids ..!)
Thanks again. Great product that I had totally forgotten about.
