Congratulations are in order for New Zealand’s prime minister.
It has been reported that Jacinda Ardern and her long-time partner Clarke Gayford are now engaged.
A spokesman for Jacinda has confirmed that the pair got engaged during the Easter weekend in the town of Mahia.
They went on to say that any further details would be discussed by Ms. Ardern when she speaks to media on Monday.
Jacinda holds the title of the second elected world leader in modern history to give birth while holding office last June.
She announced that she was pregnant with her first child in 2018 and is now mum to a gorgeous 10-month-old daughter called Neve.
This was seen by many as a symbol of progress for women in leadership roles and the 38-year-old has been championing that since.
We wish her and her fiance Clarke all the happiness in the world as they embark on this exciting chapter in their lives together.
